Open Box Education Centre is a small independent Alternative Provision School providing a KS4 curriculum for students aged 14-16 with unmet or undiagnosed trauma or education needs or for whom a mainstream school placement has not been possible or appropriate. Our small team of dedicated, caring and professional staff provide full-time education and therapeutic services for up to 16 students to help them grow in confidence, trust and self-esteem and experience success in their last years of secondary school.

LEARNING MENTOR (with maths focus)

Part Time - 2 days a week, fixed term

Salary: £16,190 - £17,073 for a 5 day per week, term time only post (FTE: £25,397 - £26,782)

(actual: £6,476 - £6,829 for 2 days per week, term time only - Monday and Thursday)

Contract: Fixed Term to the end of May 2025

 

We are looking for a committed, resilient, hard-working Learning Mentor (with a maths focus) to complement our team, on a Monday and Thursday each week.

 

This person must care for young people and be passionate about supporting them to learn, make progress and achieve the best outcomes possible. The role requires the ability to support an effective and engaging learning environment for vulnerable young people aged 14-16, with a range of complex educational and SEND needs, including SEMH, Autism, ADHD, PDA and Anxiety Disorders.
