Applications Closing Date:  Friday, 3th November 2023

Contract: Fixed Term for the academic year 2023/2024

We are looking for a talented, inspirational, resilient, hard-working and flexible teacher to complement the delivery of our Literacy curriculum and up to GCSE Humanities enrichment at KS4.  This person must care for our students, be passionate about supporting them to achieve the best outcomes possible, and be able to deliver high quality education and support for vulnerable young people aged 14-16 with a range of complex educational and SEMH needs.

Would you like to be part of a team that provides hope for the future, healing and wholeness, acceptance as part of a nurturing community, and opportunities for achievement for vulnerable young people who have experienced trauma, rejection and exclusion?

This is a significant role in a small, unique school that has achieved Trauma Informed School status and Attachment Aware status. The salary for the role is determined by individual factors bespoke to the unique context of our setting: the benefits of very small class sizes and the associated reduction in lesson preparation and marking time; a relatively short timetabled day; and additional support, advice and guidance associated with working in a small experienced and trained team. Please see the job description and person specification for further details.

What we can offer you:

  • The chance to be part of a successful Alternative Provision school that is dedicated to supporting young people who have experienced trauma, rejection and exclusion by providing opportunities for achievement, acceptance as part of a community and hope for the future.

  • A significant role in a caring, professional and collaborative small team of staff who are dedicated and committed to the success and welfare of all students.

  • A small, busy, friendly, supportive and caring working environment.

This is an exciting time to join our team as we continue to develop innovative ways to meet the complex needs of young people who have been unable to find a home in the mainstream system for a wide range of reasons, and as we continually strive to provide high quality, nurturing and bespoke alternative provision.
